Our educational goal is to produce broadly educated science graduates by:

• Providing knowledge and skills based on scientific principles
• Nurturing attitudes, ethics, sense of professionalism and leadership skills as responsible citizens for societal advancement within the framework of the national vision (RM 9 - Pembinaan Insan)
• Fostering of skills for appraising and solving problems and the ability to critically evaluate and make creative decisions based on evidence and experience
• Developing interest in the quest for knowledge and life long learning skills that will make it possible to keep pace with the rapid growth in global knowledge
• Exposure to general and specific issues that are of institutional, national, regional and global relevance (for example ethics of science, bioterrorism, environmental degradation and abuse of technology)
