My research interests are centred on the synthesis of new coordination complexes, focusing mainly on transition and organotin(IV) metals with hydrazone and azine ligands. The complexes can be characterized via varieties of modern techniques, such as IR, 1H and 13C-{1H} NMR, UV-Visible spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The structures are determined primarily by single-crystal X-ray crystallography.

The current work is focused mainly on organotin(IV). Organotin(IV) complexes are generating renewed interest in their biological properties. It has been found that organotin complexes possess a wide variety of biological activity i.e. antibacterial, antifungal and antitumour due to the presence of NNS/NNO-donor group in the complexes. They are used as stabilizers for plastics and paints, industrial catalysts, molluscicides, textile and wood preservation and antifouling agents. My interest is in the organotin chemistry and in the investigation of the coordination behaviour of hydrazone and azine with different type of organotin(IV) metals and to examine their chemical, structural and biological activity properties with different type of published organotin-hydrazone/azine complexes.
