Biography

Dr. Ngieng joined UNIMAS first as a postdoctoral researcher in 2017 after obtaining his PhD in Biotechnology. He is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology and currently the co-researcher of 3 research projects with a sum of grants RM 138K. Publishing in several ISI and SCOPUS indexed Journals, his current google scholar h-index is 5 with over 60 citations. His current research interest involve studying the biochemical properties of laccase enzymes in correlation with their physiological functions. He is also working with many different endophytic and entomopathogenic fungi, in attempt to elucidate the potential of these fungi for various industrial applications.
